A MUCH-loved Chester pub is getting ready to host its very own Oktoberfest - complete with a German style Oompah band.

The team at The Architect, overlooking Chester Racecourse in Nicholas Street will be serving up German beers and authentic German snacks.

Running over three days, the festival will start on October 21 - 23.

A spokesman for the pub, operated by Brunning and Price, said: The Architect pub is hosting a three-day Oktoberfest with live music in our heated outdoor beer hall.

"Guests will be able to sample five classic German beers from the German ‘bier’ heartland of Bavaria.

"A selection of eight classic English cask ales will also be available, as well as our usual fantastic draught beer line up.

"Guests are invited to grab a seat in our Bavaria-inspired outdoor heated beer hall and indulge in bratwurst and pretzels whilst listening to one of the UK's finest oompah bands. Prost!"
