BRYAN HUGHES is happy with the squad that he has assembled ahead of Wrexham's 12th campaign in non-league but the Reds boss hasn't ruled out making more new additions.

Jazzi Barnum-Bobb has become the latest summer signing with the right-back putting pen to paper on a one year deal.

When asked whether more will follow before Wrexham kick off the new season at home to Barrow on August 3, Hughes said: "Maybe.

"I am happy with the squad.

"I think we have recruited well. We have filled good areas of the pitch where we needed to improve and I am happy with it.

"You never say never so there might be more things happening but at the moment I am okay with it."

Barnum-Bobb, who played for Cardiff City and Newport before spending last season with Chelmsford City, has impressed Hughes since joining Wrexham on trial at the start of pre-season and the Reds boss is pleased to finally land his man.

"It has been on-going for a little while," said Hughes.

"There was a bit of paperwork to be done but I am delighted that Jazzi will be a part of our squad for this season.

"He has definitely impressed me but not just me, I think he has impressed everyone; the group, the coaching team.

"He has got good work ethics and he is a good player, defensively and attack-minded so I think he will fit into what we are trying to achieve this season.

"He will come in and challenge for that full-back spot."

Hughes added: "It was a specific type of right-back that I was after.

"I wanted someone who was athletic, who could defend as well as attack, and Jazzi fits that bill.

"There were a couple of others who got my attention but once Jazzi came in and you get to know the character, and get to see him on the training ground and more importantly in games, he fitted the bill."
