National League leaders Boreham Wood owed their 2-1 victory at Scunthorpe to Ben Whitfield’s late winner.
Whitfield only joined Boreham Wood on a short-term deal from Barrow on Monday but popped up two minutes from time to nod home.
The visitors had the better of the first half and led within seconds of the restart after Zak Brunt fired home from distance.
Scunthorpe were level after 57 minutes when Tyrell Sellars-Fleming headed home Jacob Butterfield’s corner.
