CHESTER BOUGHTON HALL are celebrating their first silverware of the season.

Hall won a thrilling T20 final against Grappenhall at Filkins Lane by 11 runs to lift the trophy for the second time.

After beating Oxton in the semis, Hall posted 169-8 against Grappenhall with Ollie Law (70) top scoring before limiting their opponents to 158-7.

“The final was a really tough match,” said captain Lee Dixon, pictured with the trophy above.

“We were second favourites through most of it as we started poorly but some of the guys stood up that have not stood up this year and they got their rewards.”

They will now go forward to represent the Cheshire County League in the Area Finals in Birmingham on August 10 to face T20 champions of the Birmingham and District Premier, North Wales Premier and North Staffs and South Cheshire Premier Leagues.
