Former Chester striker Ross Hannah has penned a one-year deal at Gainsborough Trinity.
The 32-year-old parted company with Chester last week – along with Kingsley James – after their contracts were cancelled by mutual consent.
Hannah, who became a fans’ favourite at Chester during the 2015/16 season, scoring 26 goals in all competitions, joined Barrow in June 2016 but found game-time hard to come by and returned to the Deva last summer, penning a two-year deal, but was loaned out to Southport at the end of last season as the club looked to cut costs in the wake of a financial crisis.
He will now link up with his former club Gainsborough, for whom he played in 2006/07, who ply their trade in the Evo-Stik Premier. He will link up with former Altrincham striker Damian Reeves, who has also joined Trinity.
