JAMES JENNINGS has described the last 12 months at Wrexham as a ‘roller-coaster ride’.
A year after reaching the National League play-offs, the Reds were lucky to escape the threat of relegation to even lower down the football pyramid when the season was stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“It’s been a real roller-coaster season,” said Jennings. “After the way the last one finished we were hoping to kick on and improve on reaching the play-offs.
“Unfortunately, it’s been a difficult, long season, but things have improved since Christmas and we were confident of pulling away from trouble. At one point the play-offs looked like they might be in sight.”
