TARVIN REX and Custom House both raced away to big wins in their Memorial Trophy Pool A fixtures in the Chester and District Sunday Football League.

Will Furmedge fired Tarvin ahead just two minutes into their clash with Dee Rangers before an own goal from Jake Shaw close to half-time doubled the home side’s advantage.

Tarvin’s Todd Reid then conceded a penalty five minutes after the restart with Ben Sache making no mistake from 12 yards to pull Rangers back into it.

But, with 20 minutes to go, Steve Foster scored to restore Tarvin’s two goal advantage before Regan Williams made it 4-1 with a cross come shot that went in off Mat Hewitt’s right-hand post.

Custom House’s Jack McGovern hit his second four-goal haul of the season to help fire his team to a commanding 6-0 win over Waverton Centurion.

His latest goals add to the three hat-tricks, two braces, and a single goal that he has already scored to move the prolific forward on to 22 goals in all competitions so far this season.

Dale Harris scored the other two goals in Custom House’s rout at home to Waverton.
