ALL SIX goals in the Chester and District Sunday League Section A game between Vauxhall Motors and Christleton Athletic came in a frantic final 35 minutes as the visitors fought to a 4-2 victory.

After a goalless opening 55 minutes in the contest, the game burst to life when Luke Jones put a visiting Christleton side ahead.

Their lead was shortlived, though, as Tom Molloy levelled for the hosts five minutes later. Christleton regained the lead when Louie Roberts put his side back ahead, but once again Vauxhall Motors hit back almost immediately, this time through Matty Rose.

With the game in the balance at 2-2 Roberts scored a second to put Christleton ahead for a third time before Charlie Jones sealed a 4-2 win by lobbing the Motors keeper from 20 yards out.

Elsewhere in the league, FC Mitchell Construction also scored four as they prevailed against Axis United in a seven-goal thriller.

Two goals from Ryan Farrell and a successful penalty by Jamie Graham were not enough to prevent a 4-3 defeat for Axis who lost out to braces scored by Mitchell Construction’s Jack Shepard and Billy Nixon

In the division’s only other game, league leaders Straw Hat ran out 2-1 winners over Castrol Club.

Goals from Nial Mulreay and Callum Doyle were enough to overcome a strike by Castrol’s Peter Barnet to earn the visitors all three points.

Meanwhile, Tarvin Rex claimed a 3-1 away win over Cheadle Heath Nomads to move into the quarter finals of the Cheshire Sunday FA Cup.

After falling behind early on in the third-round clash, Callum Wood struck shortly before the break to level things up. Steve Foster then scored two second half goals for the visitors to put his Tarvin Rex side into the last eight.
