CHESTER RACECOURSE is preparing for a Ladies Day to remember this weekend.

The world’s oldest operating racecourse will open its gates at 11:30am on Saturday, with seven top level races taking place throughout the day.

The highlight of an impressive card will be the Class 1, Listed SportPesa Chester Stakes, with a prize of £38,000 up for grabs.

Action starts with the the MBNA / British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes at 1:35pm and the MKM Building Suppliers Handicap Stakes will conclude the afternoon at 5:05pm.
