Chester Boughton Hall travel to Grappenhall tomorrow looking to build on last weekend’s much-needed win over Neston in the Cheshire County Premier League.

Will Owen’s side put a run of three consecutive defeats behind them to record a four-wicket success over Neston, as Alex Money’s knock of 75 and Harry Killoran’s unbeaten 80 guided Hall to 240 for six in reply to the visitors total of 237.

“It was great to get back to winning ways against Neston,” all-rounder Owen said.

“Harry and Alex really batted well as we recovered from 11 for two, showing that we’ve got good depth in the side.

“It wasn’t a bad day for the Killoran family all round with Harry hitting an unbeaten 80 for us and older brother Joe making 105 not out for our third team. Charlie Fleet stepped up from the seconds to grab three wickets, bowling with real composure.

“I think we’ve been a little unlucky in recent weeks and we had to work really hard to turn things round. We’ll go into the weekend’s match with Grappenhall with our tails up. It’ll be strange to be on the road again after four weeks at home, but we struggled there last year so we need to be wary.

“We’ll take a call on the side on Friday and I’m pleased to say we’ve one or two options to think about for a change."
