CARDEN Park has been chosen to host the 2026 Women’s PGA Cup, marking the first time the tournament will be held outside the United States.
The tournament will take place in Cheshire from September 3 to 5.
The international event will feature teams of PGA professionals from Australia, Canada, Great Britain and Ireland, South Africa, Sweden, and the US.
Heather MacRae will captain the Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I) team, making history as the first playing captain for her side.
Team members Sian Evans and Tracey Boyes qualified through the Women’s PGA Professional Championship, held at Carden Park in June.
Holly Morgan earned her place through the WPGA Series Order of Merit, while Hazel MacGarvie was selected by Ms MacRae to complete the line-up.
The Women’s PGA Cup is played over three days of stroke play, with each nation fielding five PGA members and the three lowest scores from each day counting towards the team total.
After 54 holes, the nation with the lowest aggregate score is crowned champion.
The US will arrive as defending champions after winning the 2024 edition at Sunriver Resort in Oregon.
Carden Park, set on a 1,000-acre estate, is home to two championship courses: the Nicklaus Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Steve, and the Cheshire Course, known for its elevated tees and panoramic views.
