A NEW artisan microbakery has opened its doors in Chester city centre.
Kookaburra Bakehouse launched last week at its premises in Goss Street.
The business specialises in Aussie and Kiwi bakes, cruffins and sourdough loaves.
Posting on its Facebook page, Kookaburra Bakehouse said: "Ian and Nicole (of Bean & Cole coffee shop on Frodsham Street) and Aussie baker Jess have teamed upped to create a little community bakery in the heart of Chester city Centre.
"The aim of the game is to provide you guys with delicious pastries hand made on-site.
"Sourdough loaves fermented the old fashioned way with flour and water – no yeast or weird preservatives – and a delicious range of Aussie and Kiwi bakes!
"They have got @ozonecoffeeuk ready to roll for a banging flattie! And a whole load of Aussie and Kiwi drinks in the fridge!"
