SEVERAL fundraising events in the 'Little Explorers Nursery' at Lache Primary School, Chester have helped to secure the Nursery a massive £2,460.

The nursery children took part in a sponsored fun run where they ran around the big school field dressed up as superheroes, princesses, rainbows and even a donkey!

They were very tired after completing it, but they were treated with an ice cream for being such good sports.

The nursery has also had a huge amount of help from Christina Poynton and Gemma Boulton, who sold football cards to help add £1,000 to the final amount.

Nursery staff were overwhelmed with everyone's generosity and say it will all be going back into the nursery to give the children the last few weeks they deserve.

The money will be going towards a nursery graduation party to celebrate the children moving on to reception in September with animals coming into the classroom, face-painting and lots more surprises. Some money will also be going into the nursery to revamp many outdoor resources.

The nursery wishes to thank everyone who donated and took part in the fundraisers.
