Casualty helped from car after crash on A41 near Chester Zoo

A CASUALTY was helped out of crashed car by a member of the public following an incident near Chester Zoo this morning (Thursday, September 17).

Two fire engines attended the scene on the A41 Moston Road, near the access road to the zoo, shortly before 8am.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the incident involved a single car that had collided with a lamppost.

The driver had been helped out of the vehicle by a member of the public before emergency services arrived.

Crews carried out checks on the vehicle to ensure it could be recovered safely.

Police attended and closed the road while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The casualty was handed over to the care of paramedics.
