A DEAD body has been found washed up on rocks in West Kirby, police have confirmed.
Officers attended the scene following reports the body of a man had been found deceased at the Marine Lake.
The incident was reported at around 3.50pm yesterday afternoon (September 15), although it is unclear how long the body was there before it was discovered.
Police say the deceased was positioned on the rocks along the outer edge of the 52-acre lake, which looks out onto the beach.
The death is currently being treated as "unexplained".
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and notify his next of kin.
