AN ELLESMERE Port man will be sentenced next month after he admitted stealing £4,000 from a Tesco store in which he worked.
Paul Owen, 28 and of Princes Road, Ellesmere Port, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 15.
Owen admitted one count of theft by and employee in relation to cash to the value of £4,000 being taken from Tesco Express in Chester Road, Little Sutton, between Saturday, November 15, 2025, and Monday, January 5, 2026.

Owen, who appeared unrepresented, will complete a pre-sentence report with the probation service in order to give the bench further information and context on the offence.
Owen was then released on unconditional bail.
He will return to Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 13.
