THERE is heavy traffic on the M56 near Ellesmere Port this afternoon (Monday, September 14).
Major congestion is causing delays of up to 24 minutes on the eastbound carriageway between junction 15 (Stoak) and junction 12 (Runcorn).
Traffic monitoring system, Inrix, is reporting average speeds of between 5 and 10mph, with the worst of the traffic concentrated around junction 14 (Elton/Chester Services).
