A MAN suffered potentially life-changing injuries in a serious assault at a bar in a Cheshire town.
The attack happened at about 11.55pm on Friday, August 21, in the Welsh Row area of Nantwich.
A 19-year-old man sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Cheshire Police said the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but could be life-changing.
Detective Constable Hollie Ikin, of Crewe CID, said: "Nobody goes for a night out with the expectation of being seriously assaulted and we have been conducting a number of lines of enquiry to fully understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"With that in mind, we are now looking to identify the man pictured as we believe he holds vital information.
"Anyone who recognises him is asked to please contact us.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to the man pictured and ask him directly to get in touch."
Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
He is described as mixed race, with dark brown or black hair, and was wearing a navy-blue top and white trainers on the night of the assault.
Police believe he holds vital information in relation to the incident.
