FIREFIGHTERS in Cheshire were called to a bonfire near Malpas on Friday.
One Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) crew from Chester was sent 16 miles down the A41 to Threapwood – on the Welsh border – shortly after 9am.
A spokesman for the service confirmed what action was required.
They said: “A small bonfire was extinguished by firefighters using a hose reel.”
