LIDL has confirmed it will be opening its new store in Warrington next week.
The newly relocated store at Pinners Brow Retail Park will open at 8am on Thursday, August 13, following the closure of its Fennel Street branch.
It replaces the former Carpet Right, The Jungle, and Sofology units and offers twice the floor space of the old location.
Stuart Jardine, regional head of property for Lidl GB, said: "We've been part of the community here for almost 25 years and this fantastic new store is a direct response to the local demand for high-quality, affordable groceries.
"We couldn’t be prouder to welcome back customers and greet some new faces from the wider area too.
"A huge thank you to everyone who helped us turn these plans into a reality."
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place with representatives from the Crosfields U9s ARLFC community rugby league club, and customers will be able to enjoy complimentary food samples and special offers via the Lidl Plus app.
The store will be open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
The existing Fennel Street branch will close permanently at 6pm on Wednesday, August 12.
The new 1,512-square-metre store will offer over 100 new customer car parking spaces and has retained all current staff, with new team members also joining.
As part of Lidl’s commitment to sustainability, the store is partially powered by rooftop solar panels.
Lidl says it will continue to support the community through its Feed it Back scheme in partnership with Neighbourly, which redistributes surplus food to nearby charities and food banks.
