DARTS sensation Luke Littler has picked up another trophy.

This time, The Nuke won off the oche at the Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship, the UK’s biggest charity angling event, which took place on July 28 at Tunnel Barn Fisheries.

The former Padgate Academy pupil competed as part of Team Target, alongside darts champions Adrian Lewis and Rob Cross, and Target Darts chairman Garry Plummer.

The team took home the top prize in the team category, outlasting a line-up of sporting icons including Barry Hearn, David Seaman, and Steve Davis.

Adrian Lewis also secured the singles title after catching 111lbs and 2oz of fish during the four-hour competition.

The event aimed to raise £40,000 for charity but surpassed expectations by bringing in £50,000.

Proceeds will support a range of causes, including The Willow Foundation, St Francis Hospice, Haven House, the Ricky Hatton Foundation, and Alex - The Leukodystrophy Charity.

Jess Harding, event organiser and chairman of JBD Media and Events, said: "This year’s event, our 14th, was without doubt the biggest and best championship to date.

"I want to thank all the amazing sports stars and celebrities who show up each year and get stuck in, as you make this event truly special.

"It was a great year for the darts boys who demonstrated that they are equally at home on the lake as they are at the oche, but it was a close run thing.

"Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship gets more competitive every year."

The event will be broadcast on ITV 4 at 7pm on Wednesday, August 26, and will be available to stream anytime from then on ITV X.

Littler, nicknamed 'The Nuke,' is known for his trademark ‘big fish’ 170 checkout in darts.

The tournament gave him a chance to chase another kind of big fish, while supporting a good cause.
