THE iconic Parkgate Fish and Chips is celebrating landing a massive deal with a partnership at this weekend’s Open Championship.

The famous brand will be offering its world-famous food near the 14th hole at Royal Birkdale as the world’s best golfers descend on Merseyside.

The four-day event starts on Thursday but players and fans will be on site for practice and they will be able to taste the ‘best fish and chips’.

A spokesperson said: “We are incredibly proud to be one of the officially selected food partners at The 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

“From this Sunday, you’ll find us proudly situated just outside Dunes House by the 14th Hole, serving our award-winning Chows Street Food & traditional Fish & Chips.

“It’s a true honour to be part of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.

“We look forward to welcoming you!”

They added: “And we’re off to a flying start at The 154th Open at Royal Birkdale!

“The weather is absolutely glorious, the atmosphere is electric, and the golf is already off to a spectacular start.

“If you’re heading down this week, be sure to stop by and enjoy our award-winning street food – we can’t wait to welcome you!”
