A CELEBRITY cricket match drew crowds with appearances from former England internationals Monty Panesar and Andy Caddick.

The annual Lord’s Taverners Celebrity Cricket and Lunch was again held within the picturesque grounds of Cholmondeley Castle on a sunny Friday at the end of June.

The event, which is one of the charity’s summers highlights, sees lunch, live entertainment, and training sessions for schoolchildren.

The charity, which works to empower young people through cricket, conducts free and inclusive programmes to support those facing socio-economic disadvantage and disabilities.

OTHER NEWS:

The match got underway at 10.30am before a break at 1pm for lunch, entertainment and an auction.

Winning captain Monty Panesar was presented with the Mark Fearnall Memorial Trophy at the conclusion of the match.
