A COUNTRY-themed community festival is set to return this summer.
The 29th Blacon Festival will take place at Queen Elizabeth Fields on Blacon Avenue in Chester.
Running from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, July 4, the event will follow a country and western theme.
Paul Knight, head of Avenue Services, said: "We're really excited for another fantastic Blacon Festival.
"We’ve put together a great line up of performers and activities – so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
"I look forward to welcoming people of all ages to enjoy this much-loved community celebration right here in Blacon in just a couple of weeks."
The line-up will include country-influenced musicians such as Jader Fialho, alongside performances from local rock band CSR and singers Evelyn and Ava.
Entertainment will also include a rodeo bull, fairground rides, bouncy castles, and a variety of games and stalls.
Food and drink will be available throughout the day, with options including burgers, pizzas, sweets, cakes, coffee, and more.
Recognised as Chester’s largest community-led festival, the event attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The festival is organised by Avenue Services, a not-for-profit organisation and joint venture between Sanctuary and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
