A LIVE tribute show celebrating one of music’s most iconic instruments is heading to the stage.
50 Years of Fender will be performed at Northwich Memorial Court on Friday, September 11.
The show explores the legacy of the Fender Stratocaster, blending live performances and storytelling to chart the instrument’s role in shaping modern music since its launch in 1954.
Dave Phillips, show creator and lead guitarist, said: "The Stratocaster is much more than a guitar.
"For many musicians, it’s the instrument that inspired them to pick up a guitar in the first place.
"Every generation has its heroes, and many of those heroes played a Strat.
"What’s fascinating is that they were inspired by the generation before them, creating a musical lineage that continues today.
"We wanted to create a show that celebrates not just the instrument itself, but the stories, innovations and music that made it such an important part of modern culture.
"Audiences have really connected with that idea, and we’ve been delighted by the response."
Audiences have described the production as 'innovative', 'entertaining', and 'informative', with one reviewer calling it 'like a TED Talk perfectly interwoven into a rock concert'.

The Stratocaster, first introduced by Leo Fender, has become one of the world’s most recognisable guitars.
Its influence spans generations and genres, contributing to countless iconic recordings and defining the sound of the last 70 years.
50 Years of Fender explores the stories behind the guitar, spotlighting the artists, innovations, and cultural milestones that helped cement its status as a global icon.
The show celebrates the music of legendary Stratocaster players across eras, from rock and roll pioneers to the artists who redefined blues, rock, and pop.
It is presented by the musicians behind DS:UK… in Tribute to Dire Straits and Seriously Collins.
50 Years of Fender is an independent theatre production and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
It blends musicianship with storytelling to honour not only the musicians who played the Stratocaster but also the instrument’s lasting mark on culture.
