MARKS and Spencer will close one of its stores a Cheshire town this week.

The outlet store at Riverside Retail Park, Warrington, will officially close on Saturday - less than a year after opening.

The 6,000-square-foot store opened less than a year ago in July 2025.

It offers a selection of clothing, including womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear as well as a curated range of home and beauty products.

Pete Dobson, regional manager at M&S, told the Warrington Guardian: "Our Warrington Riverside Outlet store will close and we’d like to thank all of our customers who have shopped with us and our colleagues.

"We will continue working hard to serve customers at our nearby Gemini store, offering the very best of M&S Food, Fashion, Home and Beauty, and at our Stockton Heath foodhall."

The opening of the outlet store brought M&S back to the town centre after the Sankey Street store closed in the summer of 2017.
