Vue is celebrating Pride Month with a curated season of LGBTQ+ films.
Vue Cheshire Oaks is joining the celebrations with a special line-up of titles that includes a classic comedy, a contemporary favourite, and a brand-new release.
Naomia Simkins-Brown, general manager at Vue Cheshire Oaks, said: "At Vue we’re committed to showcasing films that reflect the rich diversity of our audiences and this Pride we’re especially proud to highlight stories that celebrate and represent our LGBTQ+ communities.
"We can't wait to welcome film fans to switch off and immerse themselves in human stories with big emotions, deep connections - and moments that stay with will last long after the credits roll."
The season launches on June 5 with Madfabulous, which tells the true story of Henry Paget, a flamboyant figure who inherits his aristocratic inheritance in 1890s North Wales.
Paget’s theatrical lifestyle disrupts the established order, with the support of his cousin Lily and butler Gelert, as he navigates tradition, family schemes, and the legacy of his estranged father.
Returning to the big screen on June 6 is The Birdcage, a cult classic celebrating its 30th anniversary, starring Robin Willians and Nathan Lane.
The film follows a gay cabaret owner and his drag queen partner who pretend to be straight to meet their son’s fiancée’s conservative parents, played by Dianne Weist and Gene Hackman.
The season concludes on June 20 with the animated sci-fi comedy Lesbian Space Princess.
The film follows Princess Saira of Clitopolis as she races through the GAY-laxy to rescue her ex from the clutches of the Straight White Maliens.
