THE Boodles May Festival continued on Thursday (May 7) with Ladies’ Day.

The focus was shifted from photo finishes to frocks as thousands gathered at Chester Racecourse in their finery to enjoy the penultimate day of the event.

The three-day festival began on Wednesday (May 6) with Trials Day and the official draw for the Chester Cup was broadcast live from the racecourse on Sky Sports Racing.

The Chester Cup was paraded through the city centre before the gates were opened on Wednesday, to mark the start of the showpiece event.
