AN activity centre which lost its old home of around 14 years at Delamere Forest is now at a new home a few miles down the road.
Forest Explorers lost out last year as a result of a review of the outdoor learning provision by forest management Forestry England.
Founder Helena Broadbent said it looked like the end of the outdoor learning provider led by her and her colleagues Nicola Daunt and Peter Forrester.
However it was not long after an appeal to its large, loyal following that there was a lifeline, in the form of an offer from Girlguiding Cheshire Forest.
She said: "It was a huge blow - we had been there for 14 years and we had built a business there. I could not see a way to continue but we have a huge following and no one wanted us to close."
She added: "[Girlguiding Cheshire Forest] is a great collaboration for us. It is a gorgeous woodland."
Forest Explorers has been at its new home on Pool Lane, near Sandiway, since the start of the year and it has had some rave reviews.
Ms Broadbent said it is an upgrade in a lot of ways on its old home which is now a second site for Petty Pool Outdoor Education Centre.
She said: "Before it was a bit of a struggle because everything was far apart.
"Now everything is close together so the children get extra education time."
She added: "The price of parking was ridiculous so customers were refusing to pay the price of parking and the sessions on top of that.
"Now we have a free car park so it is a big draw to come to us."
The activity centre is at Pool Lane, Sandiway, CW8 2DR.
It is open three days a week from Monday to Wednesday.
The girl guides are at the same site but at separate times.
