A GUIDED tour with Michael Owen at his and Hugo Palmer’s stables in Malpas is on offer to help raise money for a fund in memory of John Hunt’s family.
It is part of a host of top prizes on offer in a silent auction to raise money for the Hunt Family Fund, which was founded in memory of BBC racing commentator John Hunt’s family.
Hunt, along with his daughter Amy, created the fund in order to raise cash for charities and causes that help and inspire young women, with star lots including behind-the-scenes experiences at Match of the Day and a guided tour with Michael Owen of Hugo Palmer’s stables in Cheshire.
Hunt’s wife, Carol, and daughters Hannah and Louise, were murdered at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire in July 2024.
“This is a great way to provide support to a number of causes which would have been dear to Carol, Hannah and Louise and reflect the love, care and positivity they radiated to the world,” said John Hunt.
“We’re so grateful to all those who have donated prizes and hope as many people as possible will get involved in making generous bids.”
Also up for grabs in the auction will be a luxury weekend in Paris during Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend as well as a VIP lunch with Willie Mullins, Ruby Walsh and leading owner Rich Ricci.
There are over 25 sporting prizes in total with bidding available from on Wednesday November 26 via www.bidaid.com/auction/HFF and ending on Thursday, December 11.
