A CHARITY comedy night to help victims of tech-assisted sexual abuse has been organised for next month in Chester.
The night is to raise funds for the Marie Collins Foundation, which helps support victims of sexual abuse carried out online, and will be at Alexander’s Live in Rufus Court in Chester on Sunday, August 3.
It will be hosted by comedian Hayley Ellis, who has supported British superstar Sarah Millican and worked with many others.
Helen Noon is the organiser of the event, saying the cause is one close to her heart and she hopes to be able to raise plenty of cash for the charity.
She said: “The night is in aid of raising money for the Marie Collins Foundation and we also want to raise awareness about the work they do.

“The Marie Collins Foundation is a UK-based small charity helping children recover from tech-assisted sexual abuse.
“They train professionals, support families and push for systemic change which is always guided by their principle of ‘no more harm’.
“We continue to campaign for justice against professionals who have failed victims.
“Change is needed in the way school, the police and the NHS respond to this type of crime.
“No child should suffer additional harm after being a victim of abuse.”
There will also be a raffle on the night with various prizes have been donated by local businesses including Alexander’s, Popcorn, Weetwood Ales, Dave Williams Photography, Picturehouse, Sharpen your Fitness, Tesco, Booker, Hair by Nadia Rebecca and Diamond Beauty, among others.
Other comedians joining Ellis – who has also worked with Russel Howard – are Barry Dodds, Dawn Bailey and Chris Washington.
The show starts at 8pm but doors open at 7pm and tickets for the night are available at alexanderslive.com
