A GOFUNDME page for Ellesmere Port comedian and Peter Kay tribute act Simon Mark after his shock death this week.
The fundraising page was created by his wife Stacey, who posted on the comedian’s Facebook profile to say that help was needed after his unexpected passing.
Stacey also thanked the thousands of well-wishers who passed on their messages of love after the tribute act’s death was announced this week.
She said: “It's with great sadness you will all now know I lost my best friend and husband this week unexpectedly.
“Simon is going to be missed by so many and seeing all of your wonderful posts and messages from family, friends, venues and promoters confirms what an impact Simon had on a personal level and a professional level.
“As we try to navigate through this incredibly difficult time, I have set up a Go Fund Me as I have had people asking how they can support the funeral, as we were totally unprepared for this.
“Your kindness and support mean the world to us and will help to provide much-needed relief as we honour Simon and keep his memory alive.
“Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
“Once I have any further details of the funeral, I will pop them on here too.

The performer, whose real name was Simon Owens, had recently announced his 2025 tour with more than 90-dates in locations around the world, including two homecoming shows scheduled for Ellesmere Port in December.
The announcement of his passing has shocked many, with many taking to the comments of the original post to share their memories and praising his talent.
The fundraising page added further tributes to her husband from Stacey and the rest of his family.
It said: “He was an amazing husband, fantastic son and brother but most of all he was the best friend anyone could have asked for.
“Simon was a kind, loving, and generous person who touched the lives of everyone who knew them.
“Whether it was through their infectious laughter, unwavering support, or selfless spirit, he brought light to our lives in countless ways.”
