An iconic character on the hugely popular ITV soap opera Coronation Street has been told he has cancer.
Kevin Webster (played by Michael Le Vell) shocked wife Abi Webster (Sally Carman) after telling her that he was undergoing tests following the discovery of a lump.
This proved extremely difficult for her to take in with the character already unravelling after trying to save the life of stab victim Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).

In scenes, which are to air tonight (Monday, January 27), Kevin will tell friends and family that he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Pal Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and Abi will be left worried sick and shocked by the news despite their best efforts to remain positive.
Abi will also confide in Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) about how Mason's death has reignited her grief over Seb with fears around Kevin's health only making matters worse.

On Wednesday, Abi will be on her way to collect Kevin from his ultrasound before suffering another panic attack when she sees the place where Mason died.
While waiting at the hospital, Kevin will be left surprised when he sees his sister Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) waiting for him in the waiting room instead of his wife.
When he gets home, he sees Abi curled up on the couch and tells her that he will get his scan results in a couple of weeks.
