A FLOOD warning is in place for an area of Chester due to high river levels.
The red alert was issued by the Environment Agency for Parkgate Road including Abbotsmeads and Abbots Terrace.
Flooding is expected to continue until 10am tomorrow (Wednesday, October 2).
A spokesperson for the agency said: "Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
"Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses."
The Environment Agency also confirmed it would provide updates throughout today (Tuesday, October 1) if the situation changes.
