FIREFIGTHERS worked to free a motorist in Ellesmere Port this afternoon (Thursday, September 12) who had become trapped after their car collided with a bollard.
Two fire crews, one from Ellesmere Port and another from Powey Lane Fire Station, attended the scene on Mercer Walk near the town centre shortly after 1pm.
The incident was a single vehicle collision, and the driver was prevented from exiting the car due to the bollard.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to release the driver before handing them over to the ambulance service as a precaution.
