FIREFIGHTERS were called to a farm near Chester yesterday (Tuesday, September 10) after a building caught fire.
Two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene on Hall Lane, Tarporley at around 8.25am.
The fire, which had started in a large agricultural building, involved several pieces of machinery.
A water shuttle was set up to enable firefighters to get enough water to the area and a hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames.
Several cows also had to be moved away to safety.
Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours, with a thermal imaging camera later used to confirm that the fire was fully extinguished.
