A LANE is closed on the M53 southbound near Ellesmere Port this afternoon (Thursday, September 5) following a vehicle fire.
The incident, which has occurred between junctions 6 (Hooton) and 7 (Overpool), was been reported by National Highways within the last hour.
One lane has been closed, and teams are currently working to clear the scene.
The area is expected to be cleared 3.45pm.
Normal traffic conditions are expected to resume shortly after.
