AN inquest into the death of a woman who fell from a building in Chester city centre has been formally opened.
On Wednesday, September 4, the inquest into the death of Khrystyna Pryhara was formally opened at Cheshire Coroners’ Court, in Warrington.
Emergency services, including police and an air ambulance, were called to Lower Bridge Street at 10.20am on August 22.
While it was initially understood that Ms Pryhara fell from the roof of a building in the city centre, the court heard that she fell from the window of her flat.
The 42-year-old was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital from the scene by emergency services.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said at the time: "Sadly, despite the best efforts of all those involved, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Although the death is believed to be non-suspicious, enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
The inquest was opened by Senior Coroner for Cheshire, Jacqueline Devonish, and adjourned until February 17.
