Emergency services have been made aware of a technical issue affecting Ellesmere Port residents this afternoon (Friday, August 23).
The technical issue means residents are currently unable to make 999 calls from landlines in the Ellesmere Port area.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has said that if any resident needs to dial 999, they should do so from a mobile phone.
The fire service added that normal service is expected to be resumed by 7.25pm.
