BRIDGES over the Weaver will swing for longer than usual.
The Canal and River Trust North West has confirmed that bridges in Northwich town centre will swing later this week.
The Town Swing Bridge and Hayhurst Swing Bridge will both be in use on Thursday morning (August 8).
However, the trust has warned that it will take longer than usual.

Hayhurst will swing first, at 9.30am, with this taking around 20 to 30 minutes instead of the usual five.
The Town Swing Bridge will then be swung at 10am, again taking 20 to 30 minutes.
Three bridges outside of Northwich town centre will also be in use on Thursday.
Cheshire Police has said that Acton Swing Bridge will be swung at 10.30am, followed by Sutton at midday and Winnington at 1pm.
