A COLLISION involving a police car closed a stretch of the A483 for three hours.
The incident occurred on the southbound carriageway near Eccleston, close to the England-Wales border, on Sunday afternoon.
It involved a police car and a Citroen C3, and sparked what motorists described as "traffic chaos".
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 1.20pm yesterday (Sunday, July 7) to a report of a collision involving a police car (Volvo V90) and a Citroen C3 on Wrexham Road in Eccleston.
"No injuries were reported.
"Both vehicles were recovered and the road was cleared shortly after 4.30pm."
