Chester based Portable Offices have won a special award for the best Temporary Building Project.

Portable Offices achieved this prestigious award, organised by the Modular Portable Buildings Association (MPBA), for its work at SS Simon & Jude CE Primary School in Bolton.

The awards are designed to celebrate brilliance in modern construction methods.

The company quickly supplied a variety of temporary educational accommodation to the school after it suffered severe fire damage in winter.

This swift action enabled the Bolton-based school to welcome students back to class within weeks.

Portable Offices' depot manager, Sue Holland, highlighted the nationwide effort involved in winning the award.

She commented: "The contract was a collaborative success for all of Portable Offices’ depots nationwide but Sandycroft played a pivotal role."

The company delivered 73 buildings to the Bolton school, including 69 modular sections.

The firm's swift operation and dedication to creating a unique educational village after the fire earned them the award.

Managing director, Adrian Witty, said: "We are accustomed to responding quickly to disaster recovery contracts and were able to pull out all of the stops to get a range of buildings to site in just five weeks.

"Our team poured their hearts and expertise into creating an innovative education village following a challenging setback, and we couldn't be prouder of this recognition.

"Winning the Best Temporary Building Project -Education/Healthcare/Events/Other category is a testament to our commitment to excellence and our dedication to making a positive impact in the community."
