FOUR people were cut from the the wreckage of a car which had crashed into a electricity pole. 

Firefighters from Buckley and Deeside were called to the incident on Kinnerton Road, Higher Kinnerton shortly after 9.10pm on Sunday.

Hydraulic cutting gear was used to free the people in the vehicle, a spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on Sunday at 9.12pm to reports of an incident at Kinnerton Road, Higher Kinnerton.

“We sent three emergency ambulance to the scene, where the crew were supported by a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit paramedic and an operations manager.

“Three people were taken to hospital."

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Officers from the Roads Crime Unit and colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident, involving a Volkswagen Golf.
