A CHESTER-BASED author has risen to the top of the charts with collaborative title If I Could Tell Her, knocking four Sunday Times Bestsellers off the top spot in the process.

Katie Mc, founder of The Women’s Breakthrough Coach, shares her experience alongside six fellow entrepreneurs in the book, which is currently number one in five categories on Amazon.

Katie Mc explains: “Many years ago, feeling alone and unconsciously conditioned to feeling that it was all my fault, I knew I had to do something to raise awareness.  To be able to share my story of domestic and narcissistic abuse and let other women know there is support out there and they too can breakthrough to their version of freedom, is the reason I wrote my chapter.”

If I Could Tell Her is now number one in: Emotions and Feelings, Psychoanalysis, Theory of Psychoanalysis, Violence against Women and Parenting, Emotions and Feelings.

The book is surpassing the likes of Women & Power by Mary Beard, You’re not the Problem by Katie McKenna & Helen Villiers and The Devil you Know: Encounters in Forensic Psychiatry by Dr Gwen Adshead that was also A Sunday Times, New Statesman and Irish Times book of the Year.  It is also beating bestselling self-help book of all time in the UK, The Chimp Paradox by Professor Steve Peters.

Katie is also a Founding Brand Partner of the global Mental Wellbeing Company and delivers CPD/CE Accredited workshops using trauma informed coaching and positive psychology to workplaces, public sector organisations and schools across the country.

“Having been through the court system myself I saw first-hand the stress and pressure the staff in the legal system are under.  Long working hours, poor mental health, exposure to horrific and traumatic situations sometimes on a daily basis,” Katie said.

“Being a founding brand partner of The Mental Wellbeing Company I now offer CPD and CE Accredited workshops to solicitors across the country to increase their mental health and well-being, to drive a positive work culture and to build psychological safety and awareness to build trust.

“They learn about the different types of trauma, how it presents in themselves and others, the impact this has on leaders in the workplace and how to better manage this to boost mental health and increase productivity, ultimately having a better outcome for all involved.”

Within her practice she offers one-to-one sessions, group work and training events, available face-to-face or online. She works locally, nationally, and internationally to facilitate a deeper level of understanding to be able to help people not only understand and process what has happened, but also understand their own history, and trauma profile to enable them to navigate a way forward.
