Chester solicitors Allington Hughes raised £2,311 for Hope House children’s hospice from a year of fundraising.

Completing a challenging 15-peak hike and a car boot sale were among their efforts.

The most significant activity took place last June, when the team daringly journeyed through Eryri National Park in difficult weather conditions.

Hope House representative Nicky Eyes welcomed firm members Steve Davies and Ceri Jones, who presented the cheque at the Oswestry hospice.

Nicky said: "It was a pleasure to welcome them to the hospice and also to have supported them throughout their efforts.

"We are so pleased that all the team managed to navigate the Welsh 3000s safely, even though the weather was horrific for them.

"Without the dedication of fantastic teams like these out in our communities we wouldn’t be able to do what we do in supporting seriously ill children and their families."
