Excitement took over Chester FC Girls' Emerging Talent Centre this week during a special visit from the Premier League trophy and the UEFA Women's Euro trophy that was famously won by the Lionesses in 2022.

Players and their families had the opportunity to have photographs taken with the trophies, with the visit organised to recognise the success of the ETC programme over the past two seasons.

Chester FC Community Trust was awarded a three-year ETC licence from The FA in 2022 and operates three dual age band groups at U10s, U12s and U14s.

The FA has developed a network of ETCs across England to provide greater accessibility to the player pathway and more inclusivity for female players to enhance player development.

Players continue to train and play for their grassroots teams, with the ETC forming part of the Chester FC Women’s & Girls’ pathway, which also includes recreational sessions and the club's Under 18s, development and first teams.

Kalvin Williams, ETC manager at Chester FC Community Trust, said: “We were privileged to welcome the trophies to our training sessions and the players enjoyed getting the chance to see them up close.
