Cheshire College is going to open its doors later this month for a community fun day.

Set to take place on May 18 from 11am-2pm, the festivities will span Cheshire College's three campuses located at Crewe, Ellesmere Port, and Chester.

This free event, which in 2023 attracted hundreds of visitors, offers an abundance of activities, from food and drinks to bouncy castles, to arts and crafts, and live entertainment.

Local businesses, volunteer groups, and charities will have the opportunity to showcase and sell their products and services, gaining exposure to the college's diverse audience.

Alongside the entertaining exploits, the college will also promote part-time courses for those aged 19 and above, allowing adults to explore further education opportunities.

Deputy Principal Helen Nellist said: "Community Fun Day is one of our favourite events of the year, as it really brings friends, families, and local communities together.

"Our Campuses sit at the heart of their respective communities, and this is an opportunity for us to open our doors to everyone, including people who might not have had a chance to visit us before.

"We’re excited for everyone to see what a diverse, welcoming, and cutting-edge College we are!"

Free copies of the college's new 2024/25 adult course guide will be available.

Adult part-time courses range from hobby-type interests to a holistic GCSE suite for sciences, aimed at improving career prospects.

Businesses, charities, and volunteer groups interested in exhibiting at the fun day are requested to email marketing@ccsw.ac.uk.
