A nine-year-old keen Chester climber is reaching new heights after winning another regional tournament.
Georgina Donovan, from Guilden Sutton, is a member of the Youth Development Squad at Climbing Hut in Ellesmere Port.
On Sunday, May 12, she won the Midlands Youth Climbing Series in her age category Group D female (9-11yrs).
The MYCS is fought over six rounds (three roped events and three boulder events) over three months between March and May, with the best four rounds counting for the series win.
Events took place at climbing centres in Nottingham, Newark, Solihull, Birmingham, West Bromwich and Milton Keynes.
Georgina is currently also the BMC North West and Yorkshire Champion 2023 (Group E), which she will defend again this November.
Proud mum Emma added Georgina is currently seeking sponsorship to help her achieve her dream of climbing for Team GB.
