Internationally acclaimed band Mishra is set for a one-off performance with international fusion vocalist Deepa Shakthi in Chester.
The one off gig will take place on May 31 at 7.45pm at St Mary's Creative Space.
It will celebrate their unique, cross-cultural collaboration, first formed in 2022.
Emerging from a mutual musical understanding, the partnership takes Deepa's stirring sufi singing and blends it with Mishra's innovative mix of UK folk and Indian classical styles.
The resultant sound, funded by the Arts Council, successfully toured the UK in 2023.
Mishra, established in 2018, is recognised for its award-winning music, securing Celtic Connections' 'Danny Kyle' award and BBC Radio 2 recognition for their albums 'The Loft Tapes' and 'Reclaim.'
Founders Kate Griffin and Ford Collier, supported by bassist Joss Mann Hazell, will perform alongside Shakthi in this exclusive quartet performance.
