A TRAVELLER group who had set up camp at a site on Council-owned land in Chester have now left the location.
The unauthorised encampment, which was located near Nicol Hughes Food Services Ltd on Jupiter Drive, Blacon, was set up on Monday, April 22 and included two caravans.
Encampments that are located on Council-owned land are managed by Cheshire and Warrington Traveller Team, who will assess the camp in relation to welfare, cleanliness, disruption to local businesses and obstruction of highways.
Cheshire West and Chester Council confirmed this morning (Wednesday, April 24) that the group had now left the location.
